CER-EXT
CER-EXT has an ideal profile for use in the bones of the extremities. The K-wire is used with both manual and powered standard operating-room drills.
Enhanced stylet and cannula tip features make it easier to penetrate harder cortical bone, including the distal tibia. Its shorter length is ergonomically suited to working in the extremities, and it incorporates a patented technology that limits peripheral blood dilution and eliminates the need for centrifugation.
This device is typically used together with the CER-BN-116 bone dowel harvesting device and bone graft granules. Combining bone marrow aspirate with autogenous bone and a graft extender allows clinicians to repair bone defects using the patient's own cells as the engine of bone healing.
