CER-ORTHO-M
The CER-ORTHO-M device incorporates a patented technology that limits peripheral blood dilution and eliminates the need for centrifugation.
Its length provides ergonomic access to the iliac crest, and it can be advanced manually or with the aid of a mallet. The device uses the patented Marrow Cellution™ technology to limit peripheral blood dilution and eliminate the need for centrifugation.
With the tip of the aspiration cannula closed, the device accesses only laterally collected aspirate flow, allowing bone marrow to be collected perpendicular to and around the entry channel created by the device. It includes technology to precisely reposition the cannula within the marrow space after each aspiration.
This device is typically used together with the CER-BN-84 bone dowel harvesting device and bone graft granules. Combining bone marrow aspirate with autogenous bone and a graft extender allows clinicians to fill bone defects using the patient's own cells as the engine of bone healing. Together, the three provide cells, signals and a scaffold: the building blocks of bone repair.
